The Finnish sauna is celebrated for its simplicity: a serene space where you relax on wooden benches. Water poured over hot stones creates steam, raising temperatures to around 80°C. Finns often cool off with brisk dips in cold water or even a playful roll in the snow! Our ice fountain is conveniently nearby for a refreshing cooldown.

Aufguss sauna
In the simplest terms, Aufguss is a wellness experience in a sauna. The origins of the tradition can be traced back to countries such as Germany and Finland, where sauna culture is one of the oldest and most influential aspects of the society. During Aufguss shows, performed by an “Aufgussmeister”, the trained specialist pours a special mixture of essential oils onto the hot stones of the sauna and makes rhythmic movements with a large towel to circulate the scented air. Most Aufguss rituals are accompanied by music, as they resemble a dance performance. The sauna's heat is increased gradually, triggering the release of endorphins at its peak, ensuring profound physical and mental relaxation.
Russian banya
The Russian Banya offers a remarkable sauna experience heated by a wood fire. This sauna type, deeply rooted in Russian tradition for millennia, is known for its high temperatures that prompt intense sweating, aiding in detoxification. The experience often includes a traditional Russian massage called "venik," involving rhythmic strokes with soaked branches, enhancing blood circulation, muscle relaxation, skin rejuvenation, and stress reduction. This massage may also benefit respiratory health and immune function. Unlike Finnish saunas, the Russian Banya maintains lower humidity levels, potentially offering a more comfortable experience for those with respiratory concerns.
